A pentagon is a polygon with five sides. There are step by step instructions and pictures here to guide you on how to draw a perfect pentagon.
1. First draw a horizontal line of a given length e.g 5cm

2. Place the pointed end of your compass at A and the pencil point to be on B,with that radius draw a circle

3. Place the pointed end of your compass at B and the pencil point to be on A,with that radius draw another circle

4. Draw a horizontal line to pass through the point C and d where the two circles intersect.

5. With the 5cm radius on your , draw the third circle taken C to be the centre.

6. Place your ruler on the point of intersection marked (e) and another point of intersection labeled (d) and draw a straight diagonal line to cross (f)

7. Place your ruler on the point of intersection marked (G) and another point of intersection labeled (d) and draw a straight diagonal line to cross (H)

8. Join point (A) and point (F) with a straight diagonal line.

9. Join point (B) and point (H) with a straight diagonal line.

10. Open your compass to be 5cm apart , using point marked (F) make an arc.

11. Open your compass to be 5cm apart , using point marked (H) make an arc.

12. Draw a diagonal line from (H) to meet the pOint of intersection of the two arcs drawn.

13. Draw another diagonal line from (f) to meet the pOint of intersection of the two arcs drawn.

14. Use thick lines to trace out the outline as all other line remains construction line.
